Every year around October Pretoria turns purple when the Jacaranda trees start to flower. It is quite the tourist attraction and busloads of tourists from all corners of the world are enthralled with this natural phenomenon.

We took a trip to Pretoria with Joburg Photowalkers to photograph these trees in various part of the city. We also went in search of the very rare white Jacaranda. These are found growing in Herbert Baker street.
