Travelling somewhere on a budget means that you can’t always go and see everything you want to. So we decided to do the trip to Robben Island as neither of us had been there before and leave visiting Table Mountain for another time. When researching our trip to Cape Town we saw that we could book the Robben Island trip before the time, which we did.
Getting around Cape Town
Getting around Cape Town is very easy if you use the My Citi bus system. It is integrated with google maps, so finding the correct bus was a breeze. And if we weren’t totally sure of which bus to take, people around us were quick to offer advice.
Cape Town, here we come!
In March we took a two week trip to Cape Town. For both of us it had been several years since visiting the mother city. The aim of this trip was to take as many photographs as possible, and get in some time with family and friends.
Part of the fun was in the planning. Drawing up the itinerary according to where we would be staying, how we would get around Cape Town, etc. We relied on public transport a lot while we were there, and in a future post we will tell you all about that.
