We recently had the opportunity to join the Kensington Heritage Group on a 10km walk around Kensington in Johannesburg.
Our walk started at the Victoria Yards in Lorentzville where we were able to park our vehicles quite safely. We stopped on Norfolk road in Kensington from where we had quite a lovely view over the area and we could see the city skyline in the distance.
Over the last 10 years the Sandton skyline has changed dramatically, and it is still changing. There are some very unique buildings and this makes it a popular stop for architectural photographers.
Every year around October Pretoria turns purple when the Jacaranda trees start to flower. It is quite the tourist attraction and busloads of tourists from all corners of the world are enthralled with this natural phenomenon.
